He is a climate-tech entrepreneur with a unique background spanning science, consulting, and startups. He earned his Master\u2019s degree in climate science at the University of Tokyo, conducting research on global warming mechanisms, and also became the youngest certified weather forecaster when he was 14 in Japan.<\/p>\n\n

He then worked at PwC and Arthur D. Little as a strategy consultant, leading projects on advanced technologies such as AI. As Chief Strategy Officer of the AI startup Araya, he drove business development and organizational growth.<\/p>\n\n

In 2022, he co-founded Gaia Vision, where he launched climate risk and flood prediction platforms adopted by leading manufacturers and recognized with the Minister of the Environment Award in 2023.<\/p>\n\n

Global temperatures are rising, and with them, the risks of extreme weather. Heavy rainfall brings devastating floods, while prolonged droughts threaten water security. These challenges are not abstract\u2014they claim thousands of lives each year and disrupt communities and industries worldwide.<\/p>\n\n

Our founder, Satoru Demoto, has been deeply engaged with these issues since becoming Japan\u2019s youngest certified weather forecaster at 14. During his research at the University of Tokyo, he studied the mechanisms of climate change and realized that the intensification of floods was not just a scientific projection but an inevitable reality. Witnessing actual disasters\u2014where lives were lost simply because warnings failed to trigger action\u2014left him with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency.<\/p>\n\n
